Round II
October 3rd, 2021
Mel and I linked back up to teach a Knees Like Meg class. This time just for fun :) This time we filmed promo to the Negro Spiritual "Back That Azz Up (TAP HERE TO WATCH) to gather our fellow twerkers and it was a success! The class was more packed than the last and of course I cried at the end.
Thank you to everyone who participated. Here is the class PLAYLIST for those who want to strengthen their knees on your own.
Stay tuned for our next collab class!
POC Scholarship Fundraiser
February 13th 2021
I teamed up with my girl Mel Douglas to teach a knee and leg focused power yoga class to raise money for POC's Scholarship Fund applicants. We knew the class was going to be a hit once we recorded the promo video (TAP HERE TO WATCH) because it was so much fun..and exhausting haha. Both Mel and I love incorporating all aspects of our blackness in our yoga practice and clearly others longed to do the same because this class was PACKED!
Thank you to everyone who donated to People of Culture's Scholarship Fund. Many of you gave more than the recommended amount to participate in this class and we're honored to extend that offering to BIPOC applicants in need of a retreat. If you would like to make a donation click here.
Stay tuned for our next collab class in April 2021!
Quarantine Reset
June 1st 2020
You know that relieved feeling you get when you take off your bra or face mask? That's what doing yoga without clothes on feels like! I had a group of all women join me for this Zoom session where my clothes and camera were ON while their clothes and cameras were OFF. *The call settings were already set baby! This class was about more than physical relief.....ERYTHANG got naked. We stripped off our clothes, unhealthy habits, GUILT, shame, fear and everything else that didn't presently serve us.
Being bare allows us to be at peace with who we truly are, no coverups.
